Latency Issue

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, sorry if it is not. The question is around very high latency when i deployed the topology on my storm cluster with one supervisor. The machine is powerful with enough memory and resources. I have three node kafka cluster and created a topic with 4 partitions, also adjusted the parallelism on spout and bolt in the ack topology, i have setup 10000 as spout max pending, high number on buffer size, fetch size etc. But did not see any improvement in the performance and observed very high overall latency. Can you please suggest how to improve the KafkaSpout performance and reduce the latency. I need to process around 50K msg/sec so please help.
