I already did, but they weren't helpful at all. We probably won't even see the message!! This could be a serious problem as it doesn't capture movies properly!
I don't understand why you should close a problem by referring it to a chat where it's always crowded and they won't even read the problem.

@bakerboy448 I've done this before, I just haven't received any concise answers about it. There are a lot of people there and that's why I went directly to the source. I know very well that they don't have to respond and I repeat, that's why I asked them here.

American History X is a 1998 movie, not 1999. See https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/73-american-history-x

It's only a bad configuration on your part starting with allow BR-DISK and not setting language profiles correctly.

A proper guide would be this one: https://trash-guides.info/Radarr/Tips/How-to-setup-language-custom-formats/

Also you need to do interactive searches in Radarr, not Prowlarr.

For year questions, that's on the FAQ https://wiki.servarr.com/radarr/faq#how-does-radarr-determine-the-year-of-a-movie

As previously mentioned, please visit discord for support questions...if someone from the community does not wish to volunteer their free time to help you. That's their prerogative. No one is obligated to provide any support.

Even if this wasn't a support issue - and it is without a doubt a support issue - the bug report is invalid and incomplete and subject to instance closure as invalid

Before speaking I obviously did all the necessary tests. first of all I disabled the BR-DISK format and also the raw hd from the beginning. Second, I set up all my profiles according to my needs, discarding everything I didn't need. Third, I tried I don't know how many times to set the languages in the formats and I always did the searches from radarr. And as if that wasn't enough I deleted and reset the radarr settings many times without success. But if you tell me that this could be the problem, that is, a wrong date, how can I fix this? Thank you!

override and grab or manual grab from an interactive search can be used grab releases otherwise rejected or not parsable

Please understand that Github issues are reserved only for bug reports and feature requests, and you are actually complaining about a release with a wrong year from a quite known low quality release group.

If you want that group just manually grab it with override and grab, because it's invalid as Radarr is concerned since both TMDb and IMDb say it's a 1998's movie.

vincenzogianfelice avatar vincenzogianfelice commented on June 27, 2024

undoubtedly, but can't this be considered a problem? given that many torrents sometimes have the release date based on the country, is it not possible to insert an option in radarr where the date of a film title is ignored film?

from radarr.

bakerboy448 avatar bakerboy448 commented on June 27, 2024

There is no bug. The movie is the wrong year - and was poorly named but a known shitty group.

As Bogdan already mentioned use override and grab - the functionality you ask for already exists

the standard - not just a radarr standard, general torrent standard - for all movies is either their premier year (IMDb year) or their oldest non-Premier release year (TMDb year) agnostic of any country as country does not impact when a movie is or is not available.

Please use Discord for these types of support discussions

ok thanks, I will look for a solution, but I hope you at least consider this type of problem because as you can see it is very common (unfortunately!)
