I never thought of it. Would that be useful? It's not obvious to me. Clear was only ever meant to delete the objects, not necessarily reset to the initial state of the program. However, perhaps the latter would be more useful, or could be a new function "reset" or something.

I can imagine sometimes people would want to just clear objects without altering other /world parameters. So, yes, a different function like 'reset' seems welcome to reset the full state.
