centos-rpm-fdk-aac-dabplus-odr's Introduction

centos-rpm-fdk-aac-dabplus-odr

CentOS 7 RPM Specfile for Opendigitalradio's fork of the standalone library of the Fraunhofer FDK AAC code from Android (fdk-aac) which is part of RaBe's DAB / DAB+ broadcasting package collection.

The Specfile consists out of the main package fdk-aac-dabplus-odr and the related *-devel package.

Usage

There are pre-built binary packages for CentOS 7 available on Radio RaBe's OBS DAB / DAB+ broadcasting package repository, which can be installed as follows:

curl -o /etc/yum.repos.d/home:radiorabe:dab.repo \
     http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/radiorabe:/dab/CentOS_7/home:radiorabe:dab.repo

yum install fdk-aac-dabplus-odr

centos-rpm-fdk-aac-dabplus-odr's Issues

Problem: too much undocumented branches

I think c24761c is a leaf in a branch that does not have any relevant changes left to merge. Here's a merge: radiorabe:512cc4f...radiorabe:c24761c

Also, it looks like legacy-fdk-aac-dabplus is just there to point to 86a8e8c.

Have a look at the network graph to see them.

Proposed Solution:

  • Merge c24761c or remove the odr-project-reorg ref to it
  • Tag 86a8e8c as 1.2.0-0.fdk.2.3.2.odr.toolame.0.2l.odr ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and remove the ref.

edit: what's wrong with link formatting 🙁 wtf, /commit/ worky, /tree/ no-worky 😲

lib package is missing the aac from it's name

I just realized why I couldn't find the devel stuff for the package :(

Look at these names:

fdk-aac-dabplus-odr-1.1.0-2.1.x86_64
libfdk-dabplus-odr-2.3.2.odr-2.1.x86_64

The second one is missing the -aac part for some reason. As a result searching for fdk-aac does not find it.

I was also very confused by the lib prefix but am pretty sure that it's one of those opinionated things that I don't even care about starting a discussion.

Can we please add -aac to the lib package's name?
