SCTE-35 lib and parser for Rust

This library provide access to parse and encoding of data using the SCTE-35 standard. This standard is used by cable providers and broadcasters to insert signaling information into the video stream for advertising and other purposes. More information can be found at Digital Program Insertion Cueing Message for Cable.

Main Features

• Parsing of SCTE-35 data (not yet implemented)

• Serde integration for serialization into JSON or any other serde supported formats.

scte35's Issues

Move code to use Deku crate

Using https://github.com/sharksforarms/deku can simplify the code and make the scte35 crate compatible with no_std (will still need alloc)

Expose C API

Learn how to expose Rust libraries with an ergonomic C API.

Extract SCTE35 markers from CMAF streams

Expose glib compatible API

Might be interesting to play/learn the gir generation of bindings to other languages.

Integrate with GStreamer's Mpegts lib

Would allow to insert SCTE markers in GStreamer pipelines using mpegtsmux element using safe Rust.

Extract SCTE35 markers from MpegTS streams

Is it possible to encode video from decklinkvideosrc along with scte-104 markers and output encoded with video with scte markers.

Serialize to spec compatible XML

The SCTE35 spec describes how SCTE messages should look like when serialized to XML. Might be interesting to have this here.
