Safari

Raindrop.io extension has been removed from the Apple extension directory. When installing from your downloads it flagged as "Unsafe" and not allowed to install.

I contacted support but no response in about two weeks. This is a MAJOR issue.

drag area randomly appears on youtube

I'm pretty sure I didn't start dragging any link, and this appears after a few minutes when I use youtube, it would only go out if I start dragging a link then stop.

Before I understand it's a bug, I thought it was normal behaviour and that the extension was getting intrusive, other users may think the same.

Wrong chrome extension behavior.

When I press cmd+e it saves not current page but URL of 1st tab of 1st browser window.
So this hotkey and feature itself are almost unusable.

[Improvement] Address bar search including tags

Address bar search with r query should search also tags

New Firefox build

The latest official build seems to be 5.1.45. I'm having several issues with that build:

• Bookmarked sites don't change the firefox icon color
• The addon always tells me that I don't have an internet connection after adding a new bookmark. The bookmark is still added.
• May be related to the issue above, but the description area of the bookmark always says "Importing"
• I've waited a few minutes for an email, but I don't think the export button works.

Is there any plan to upgrade the firefox version?

Can't "Save on raindrop.io" firefox menu on Feedly

On feedly, when I right-click on a link of a news and choose "save on raindrop.io", I've got a notification which tells me "saving on raindrop" but I don't have any new bookmark.

Chrome new tab closes after opening

Not sure how to get the console log because the tab closes and it's hard to reproduce

favorite sites folder redirects all bookmarks to inbox

when i try to add bookmark to favs, it just goes straight to inbox. faced this in win10

Readds sites the user doesn't want in 'Favorite sites'

Sometimes when the user opens a new tab, unwanted favourites (default ones) get added again in Favorite sites default collection.

The sites being added are Raindrop.io, Facebook, Twitter and Wikipedia.org - the favourites that came within the app against the user's will.

Mac app does not work

Max app does not work. It does not even allow to login. "Register using email" button does not do anything. Social buttons open a new window with "Atom Shell" title and empty content.

[Firefox] Blank icon after adding a bookmark

After I add a bookmark using the Firefox extension, the icon turns from grey to blank like if it just disappeared.

I use Firefox 58.0.2 on Windows 10.

Chrome Extension

Common settings in the app on the Raindrop.io website are NOT updated in the Chrome extension. There is currently no way to change the look of the Chrome extension.

is there an api ?

[REQUEST] Bookmark all open tabs

As a web developer who uses lots of tabs, I often end up in a situation where I would like to cache all my tabs and restore them at a later point. Currently, I can achieve this with Toby Tab Manager, but my bookmarks are in Raindrop. Ideally, I think these two features should belong in the same place:

1. Provide a "save all" feature to add all open tabs into a collection (should also account for page being bookmarked in other collections)

2. Provide an "open all" feature to open all tabs in a collection (currently, you can do this if you select multiple tabs, but I would like an "open all" button to make things simple)

During bookmark saving process you can enter tags and you have autosuggestions from you previous tags.

How about some proposals taken from page source meta tags?
Easy to implement feature and can easily improve tagging ;)

Chrome extension fails to save regularly

1. After failure screen, click "Bookmarks >"
2. Click "Add Bookmark" (may need to press a couple times)
3. Select category

Additional context:

• This workaround seems to be unnecessary if you have recently had a save success (i.e. tried to prepare screencast and extension started working continuously, despite returning screenshotted error 5~ times in the past 2 days).
• Have same issues with iOS if I'm saving from browser (Safari or Chrome). After a few attempts at re-saving, the request finally goes through error-free.

Safari?

Is theres a reason the Safari extension isn't open source on here like the others? It's slow and buggy, but nobody can improve it 😢

Less distracting icon for existing bookmarks

I find the "bookmark added" state a bit too distracting, stealing my focus when entering a url that already has been bookmarked. Compare:

My personal preference would be if the cloud was solid (filled) and perhaps had the same shape of star (or even better, a checkmark) in it.

Deleting raindrop.io account

This issue doesn't belong to any extension.

Trying to delete my raindrop.io account I get the message "Send mail to [email protected]". Did this twice and send another personal message to the developer. No reply!

I just want to delete my account.

Tags aren't accessible in a tree-like fashion

Tags are only available to browse via a series of clicks; it would be nice to just show all of my tags in a tree instead of folders!

Opera extension seems to be broken

Опишу ситуацию на русском. Расширение для «Оперы» не обновлялось в каталоге расширений браузера с июля прошлого года, но, тьфу-тьфу, работало. По крайней мере, до нынешнего дня. С боковой панелью особых проблем нет между тем. Ну а сегодня при попытке сохранить ссылку через иконку на основном тулбаре я получил пустой прямоугольник вместо окошка расширения.

Mac App Uses the Browser Extension Account for Export

I annoyingly get signed into raindrop via my google account [email protected] since that is what my browser is usually signed into. However, my raindrop login is through google account [email protected].

In Chrome I attempted to export my bookmarks but realized it was again logged into the account A. So I opened my Mac App which is always logged into the B google account. I went to preferences and exported bookmarks, however it opened Chrome and said "We will send you email (to [email protected] ) with html export file when it ready! Time depends on bookmarks count and queue."

I anticipated the security issue of sending B bookmarks to [email protected], fortunately that did not happen but it did send A Bookmarks to [email protected]. The problem is that my Mac app is logged into B@gmail, and B are the requested bookmarks for export. Seems like this should be fixed since the Mac app apparently relies on the browser extension for export and they do not have to be the same account.

Firefox extension don't save to inbox

Hi,

The firefox extension save the bookmark to the last used collection, instead of inbox. This makes some bookmarks to 'get lost' in the wrong collection.

It would be nice to be fixed.

Firefox extension crashes

I'm trying the FF extension (3.3.9) in FF 38.0.1 and so far I haven't been able to use it. Clicking the + button results in Firefox hanging for a minute, then crashes.

Please let me know if I can provide more useful information. Thanks for a great app, though!

Use Microsoft Toolkit Extension for an Edge extension

Multi-level folders are a pain to use and are not imported correctly from Chrome

See subject. It's horrible. I paid for pro to get this support, and it's half baked :(

Raindrop is not opening when on a blank tab

Browser : Opera 63.0.3368.107
OS : Win10 pro 64bit

Since the last update, when I open a new tab and click on the little cloud icon, instead of opening the app as I always did, raindrop saves a new bookmark with :

`yarn run source` assumes build folder exists

On a new checkout the build dir is assumed to exist when zip is invoked via yarn run source. This folder should probably be created as part of running it. Using the package mkdirp is likely the most cross-compatible (os) solution.

Saved pages highlighting

Saved pages highlighting does not work in none of my browsers.
Checked in Chrome 48.0.2564.109, Chrome Canary 50.0.2645.0 and Iron (Chromium 47.0.2500.0).
Extension version 4.3.5.

Any suggestions, please.

Chrome Hotkey Override Not Working

I've gone to chrome://extensions scrolled to the bottom, clicked the keyboard shortcuts link and found the entry for Raindrop. I've set it to Ctrl + D and restarted Chrome, but Chrome still just opens the inbuilt "Bookmark Added" popup.

I'm running the latest version of Chrome (64.0.3282.140) on Windows 10.

Switch the icon colors between saved and unsaved websites

How about adding a feature to Chrome extension so it can display the different icon colors for saved and unsaved websites? It can help people save time from a click.

Firefox extension doesn't choose folder when saving

But the Chrome extension does.

Search in extension could include urls

For instance, I have a school website [school name].myschoolapp.com, with a webpage title of [school name]. [school name] is in many of my bookmarks. If I could search myschoolapp, I could find the page faster. I know that I could just spend the time to add urls to the titles in raindrop.io, but that is inconvenient. If you add a license (#2), I will try to make a pull request.

[REQUEST] Speed dial improvements

Hi,

its great that you added speed dial extension :)

It would be great if you can create few minor features:
1: Folder in favorites view
2: ability to add new favorites "card", like "personal" and "work", so you can switch workspaces
3: optionally caching of icon image when manually added favorite icon

OSX App Circular Icon

I created a circular app icon for the OSX App if anyone wants to use it.

You can view it on Behance, or download the icon for Xcode, OSX, iOS, Windows, Android, favicons, folders, etc. from Dropbox using bit.ly/raindrop-icons.

I just enjoy having all my apps have circular icons.

Also, I'm loving Raindrop and upgraded to a Pro account only after a few days of using it, so great work! 👍

Firefox Extension

As of the latest Firefox the extension is not remembering credentials and each time Firefox is started you are required to log back in and reset your "common" settings.
