File Uploader

File Uploader is a demo of the HTML5 File API built with Node.js, Express, and Backbone.js. The application implements drag and drop functionality from the file system to a file well on the browser without employing file input HTML elements. Only HTML5 compatible browsers capable of receiving input from the file system are supported by this demo.

The application is built with the following libraries:

• Backbone.js
• Underscore.js (Backbone.js dependency)
• jquery
• Bootstrap

The File Uploader demo application is built in modular fashion from server to client.

Configuration

• Install and configure Node.js
• Install and configure ExpressJS

Running the sample

The server default address is: http://localhost:3000

$ node app
