Creating a project

If you're seeing this, you've probably already done this step. Congrats!

# create a new project in the current directory
npm create svelte@latest

# create a new project in my-app
npm create svelte@latest my-app

Developing

Once you've created a project and installed dependencies with npm install (or pnpm install or yarn), start a development server:

npm run dev

# or start the server and open the app in a new browser tab
npm run dev -- --open

Building

To create a production version of your app:

npm run build

You can preview the production build with npm run preview.

To deploy your app, you may need to install an adapter for your target environment.

firestorm's Issues

Register does not check if email is already in the DB

Expected behavior

When attempting to register with the same email user is not allowed to do so/is being logged in instead.

Actual behavior

A new conformation email is being sent.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create an account
2. Try to create another account with the same email

Password ignores every symbol after 72

Expected behavior

Password has a set length which is enforced during registration.

Actual behavior

Every single symbol after 72 in password string is completely ignored both when registering and logging in.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create an account with a password length of 45 symbols or more
2. Add/Change symbols after 72 when logging in

Chat settings menu stops messages from appearing

Expected behavior

After going into the chat menu, messages continue to arrive as usual

Actual behavior

Messages stop appearing until chat window is reloaded or user goes into the chat menu again

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a room
2. Go into chat menu
3. Go back
4. Type and send a message
5. Message would not appear until chat window is reloaded or user goes into the chat menu again

Chat messages are not updated when switching rooms

Expected behavior

Chat messages display correctly for each room

Actual behavior

When switching between rooms, messages from the first room to populate chat window will be displayed across all other rooms. Messages can be flushed by going into chat menu

Steps to reproduce

1. Create 2 or more rooms
2. Type a message in Room 1
3. Switch to Room 2, messages from Room 1 will be visible there
