Meetup Clone

We have Cloned an event organizing website called Meetup Clone. Meetup is a service used to organize online groups that host in-person and virtual events for people with similar interests. The platform enables users to browse the events on basis of interest and also they can organise their own event with both the web version and mobile apps.

In this project , we have tried to make a perfect clone of meetup.com.

Steps to install the project:

Install basic Software:

• Install NodeJS
• Install VS Code
• Install Git

Clone the following git repository inside any folder:

• https://github.com/ranjithkumark8/echo_meetup

Open the cloned git repo in VS Code and install the required dependencies.

• Open a terminal and make sure you are in the working directory folder -> Inside meetup folder, run this command to install the required project dependencies .

  • npm install

• Now, Run command -> npm start

• Now you can access the app at this URL: http://localhost:8000

How to use the product

Use the production link ->https://event-finder-echo.netlify.app/ Or follow the given steps :

1. In order to use the product , do npm start in your console.

2. Here you can see our landing page , If you are using this product for the first time , you are a new user and you can sign up by clicking on the sign up link.

3. Here you can see a form, you need to fill your name, email address and password. Now, click on continue button.

4. Now, you need to login here with the details you have provided in sign up page.

5. You can see main page. Here you can choose any event on the basis of your intrest.For more information about particular event you can click on that event.

   

6.Now, you can attend a particular event by clicking on the Attend Online button in the bottom.If you dont want to go you can change it by clicking it again.

7.To start your own group you can use the link given in the navabar(start a new group). There are six steps in this form , after completion you are good to go to create your own group ☺️
