Getting familiar with SortingHat commands and Organization model

To ease the task of understanding SortingHat's organization model and some of its features, we proposed to create an example using GraphQL mutation queries to SortingHat or SortingHat's CLI:

• Start by creating a new individual.
  • This individual will have a profile and can have at least two identities
• Create a new organization and link a domain
• Next step is to add affiliation information:
  • Enroll the new individual to the new organization
  • Update that enrollment by changing the start and end date

Once the example is set, please answer the following questions:

• Can a given organization have more than one domain?
• Can a given individual be enrolled to many organizations?
  • What about overlapping date ranges?
• Can we have the same domain linked to different organizations?
  • E.g. ibm.com belonging to organization IBM and organization IBM, Inc.
• Is the affiliation information from a given individual related with its Profile?

Evaluate a new approach for managing Organizational hierarchy information

The proposal here modifies the existing Organization model to handle hierarchical data.

An alternate approach is to keep the Organization model as it is and create a new model for groups/divisions/departments. We need to evaluate how to proceed with this alternate approach and leave the existing model untouched.
