Does the World Bank account for government effectiveness when providing grants to developing countries

• For this project, three packages are used:

  1. xlsx, to import data from Microsoft Excel files;
  2. tidyverse, to manipulate data, during the process of cleaning;
  3. ggplot2, to realize the graphics.

• Two variables are used in this project: grants (in XDR) provided by the World Bank to developing countries, index of government effectiveness. Data are found on the website of the World Bank.

• The file WB_grants.Rmd, an rmarkdown file, provide the R code to:

  1. Import data;
  2. Clean data;
  3. Visualize data.
