Is there a way to make it a backend application/service without needing to have the UI pop-up?

I tried to google to see if there is a command line to activate the sidecar....but doesn't seem to have the luck.

Any idea is there is anything like that around? thanks!

Doesn't work in Monterey

I just updated from Big Sur to Monterey 12.4. Monterey got rid of the Sidecar preference pane and now deals with what was "Sidecar" in the Displays preference pane, so the workflow as originally written no longer works. Tried updating it myself but haven't been able to get there yet — can't say my AppleScript skills are strong.

Any chance for an updated version for macOS 12.x?

Can not work with this automator workflow

Hi! I tried to use this workflow but it did not work. The log was:
can't obtain “window "Sidecar" of application process "System Preferences"

I am not familiar with Applescript and I have no idea how to fix it. Do you have any idea where the problem is?

Accessibility permission

First of all, thank you for creating a convenient workflow, it works well on my machine.
The only thing I notice is that every time I activate the workflow, accessibility permission must be granted for the app running on the foreground at the time.
Is there any way to get around this issue? I don't want to add accessibility permission to all the apps that I use.
