revolver-chrome-extensions's Issues

Ideas for features

I'm currently using revolver for showing "information radiators" on 8 wall
display at the same time. Those displays are actually big led TV's mounted on
the columns of the floor (we have 4 big square columns with 2 opposite displays
each one).

I'm thinking about adding myself the following features to your extension. I
could just add those by my own, without sharing enhancements with the outside
world. But I'd rather prefer to share it with everybody. ¿What do you thing?

1) Ability to centralize management of options: specify an url in options from
within it would retrieve settings (i'm thinking in a JSON delivered by a simple
HTTP get)
2) Ability to specify "stay time" for individual URLs (i.e the more complex
ones)
3) Ability to set a list of URLs to load.
4) Ability to synchronize the rotation for each display: Once a tab is
deselected in one display, it gets activated in the next one (I'm thinking in
my actual physical setup).giving the appearance that the information pane
"jumps" from one wall to another.

Am I being too ambitious? :)

Just let me know what do you think.

Best regards,
Gaston (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

Can you add a function how often site reload happens

Hi thanks for this lovely extension,

can you add that only every x (10) loop a reload of the side happens.

And if it is possible, only reload one site per rotation. the reason is im
using raspberry pi and i'm very limited to resources.

Thanks alot.

Feature Requests

Using the latest tab revolver on chrome and am looking for the following
features.

Feature #1
We have it set to preload the page before showing it however it has the
disadvantage of taking up the display time of each page. So the way it works
now, is we have each page set to 20s and one of our pages takes 10s to load.
This means one page shows for 30s and the following slow loading page is only
shown for 10s. Is it possible to time the duration of each page after the flip?

Feature #2
Is it possible to set the length of time individually for each page?

Any of these features would be great to have. Thanks for the great work!

ChromeCast support

It would be great if TabCarousel could cast all tabs from the current window to
a specified ChromeCast.

Multiple Chrome Windows Open- All use revolver

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open multiple Chrome windows
2. Turn Revolver on for one
3. The other window will also turn revolver on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 7 64 bit Intel Xeon

Please provide any additional information below.

Basically I run 4 screens. I want one screen to have the revolver running
about 16 tabs in google chrome. I want to use another google chrome window to
do my work however enabling revolver on one window does so to the other. I
need them to work independently.

Shortcut Button Function

Can you add a new function about Pause and Start (or Stop and Begin to change
tab in Full Screen Mode immediately. Without escape Full Screen click mouse to
stop, then modify or do something and then Click mouse to Start and then Full
Screen Mode ... It'll be easier and simpler with a shortcut button to Pause and
Resume. Thanks a lot.

Rotate only when inactive does not seem to work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start-up multiple tabs (using ~10 in this example)
2. Enable rotator
3. Check options and make sure seconds is set to 20 and that "rotate only when
inactive" is selected (auto start / reload is unselected)
4. Watch how the tabs start rotating even though the options are set to not
rotate - let it rotate once, then start closing a tab or note. Note how it
keeps rotating well under 15 seconds after activity stops.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Would expect that the rotating would stop

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Chrome, latest on Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.
I am using Synergy to navigate / control the Chrome browser, but as I am
successfully interacting with the remote browser (ie by closing tabs), I would
expect the timers for inactivity/activity to be respected.

Thanks!
