Very slow on configuration change

Hello,
I like your example, and I am trying to integrate it into my own project. One big issue I have with the app though, is when there is a configuration change (screen rotation), the app seems to freeze for a few seconds - and takes a very long time to rotate on the screen. This is not normal, as mine and many other apps rotate on the screen much much faster. I have tried using tracedump and profiling methods in Eclise, but could not figure out how to speed the code up. Have you thought about this?
