I think this would be a pretty straightforward project. It looks like CEF provides very similar capabilities to webkitgtk, so it would basically be a matter of making sure all the names and types line up. ghcjs-dom is already spanning both ghcjs and webkitgtk, so adding another similar backend would probably not be too hard.

@ali-abrar I didn't had the time to look into it at all.

My problem with webkitGTK at the time was that I had to do a prototype for Windows, and there are no binaries for it available, so I used a bespoke Qt browser and served the GHCJS output directly.

The bindings above also don't work for Windows according to the author, but I didn't check. In theory, CEF should be a better platform overall - at least the binaries are readily available: https://cefbuilds.com/

The refactor branch of reflex-dom has now split the functionality of MonadWidget into several more self-contained classes. Supporting another DOM-style library should now simply be a matter of creating a new instance of Reflex.Dom.Builder.DomBuilder, and supporting non-DOM frameworks should also be considerably easier than before.
