figma-reattache-instance's Issues

Relink to new master?

Do you think a similar strategy could be used to link a bunch of instances to a new Master?

Features suggestion

Great plugin, and with some tweak it could become perfect and super useful, here is my suggestions:

  1. If we rename the instance not the same as original component, it may recognize the wrong component or skip because can not find the component, so it would be good if we can: a. Choose a target component or b. Autodetect target component.
  2. If i want to change an instance from component A to component B, and they are similar. For example, i'm using the component from team library, then one day i realize that i want to change instance layout but don't want to edit on master component because it can be affected to other use that component, then i need to duplicate the component then edit from there. But to not loose the override i made on instances, then i need to link all existing instances with new component(that've been duplicated), or migrate component from file A to file B. For now i can detach these instances, rename it to match with new duplicated component, then use this plugin to reattach it. So i could be perfect if this plugin help us to change component of an instance to another similar component but still keep the override(by automatically do all steps above). And support to make change on multi instances once, it would be wonderful :D

Displays "Running Reattach Instance" forever

9 times out of 10 the plugin doesn't work for me. I get the "Running Reattach Instance" message with the spinner and nothing further happens.

I'm working with a typically complex design system with components in a Team Library that use several levels of nesting.

Maintenance of the project

Hello brave contributors @mikeozornin @bespoyasov

This started as a learning project (for a real problem that I have), but now that we are having more people contributing, this seems way beyond my skill to keep up with code review.

Most of the new stuff is beyond my comprehension, and I have the feeling that I'm only slowing you folks down.

Soooo... Anyone interested in maintaining this project?
