Now that LLDS includes I/O support, make data stores aware of it

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Low level data stores, while nice to have for solving storage needs, aren't persistent. They should be.

Describe the solution you'd like
Leverage the I/O classes added in v1.1.0, so the data storage knows how to read and write itself.

Describe alternatives you've considered
The I/O classes used to be kept in a separate library. That was deemed both unwieldy and difficult to use.

Additional context
Furthermore, most users were using both libraries anyway. Therefore, the case for merging is clear.
