XaeroPlus

XaeroPlus is a client-side Minecraft mod that depends on and modifies the Xaero's WorldMap and Minimap mods with extra features and performance improvements - particularly for use on anarchy servers like 2b2t.

XaeroPlus is not affiliated or endorsed by xaero96. Please report issues to XaeroPlus's Github or discord server.

Xaero Versions

Each XaeroPlus release is only compatible with a specific version of Xaero's WorldMap and Minimap. Xaero's Minimap can be swapped out for BetterPVP

Download and include these mods in addition to XaeroPlus-*.jar (3 jars total).

Modifications

1.5-3x your FPS by limiting the framerate the minimap is rendered at!
- Tip: For least visual impact, lock the minimap's north
Adjustable minimap scaling that increases how many chunks are visible
NewChunks Highlighting in MiniMap and WorldMap.
Baritone integration
- Baritone Goals synced as temporary waypoints
- Point and Click Travel
Waystones and Fabric Waystones integration
- Syncs Waystones as temporary waypoints
WorldTools World Downloader integration
- Highlights saved chunks while downloading
Portals Highlighting in Minimap and WorldMap
Portal Skip Highlighting in Minimap and WorldMap. Detects chunks where a portal could have been loaded.
OldChunks Highlighting in Minimap and WorldMap.
- Intended for use on 2b2t. Highlights chunks that were generated in 1.12.2 or lower in the Overworld and Nether based on the natural blocks present in the chunk.
Transparent minimap background instead of wasted black screen space.
Fast map region writes. Prevent missed chunks in map while traveling at very high speeds.
Allow multiple MC instances to read/write to the same map concurrently
Transparent obsidian roof. Useful for mapping 2b2t spawn.
Setting to always view and create waypoints in the Overworld when in Nether.
Render server view distance square around the player.
Dimension hot-switching on WorldMap and Minimap.
- Recommended: Create keybinds for Minimap dimension switching.
WorldMap GUI:
- WorldMap zoom unlocked

Waypoint Beacons
Minecraft world always renders in background while in a Xaero GUI for client travel mods compatibility
Minimap entity dot fix. Hides the entity dot when arrow mode is selected.
WorldMap and Waypoint directories optionally indexed by:
- Multiplayer server list name.
- Base Server Domain Name
- Server IP (Xaero's default)
- Changing this setting requires you to manually rename existing folders in .minecraft/XaeroWaypoints/ and .minecraft/XaeroWorldMap/
Overworld dimension optionally stored in the "DIM0" directory instead of "null"
- Changing this setting requires you to manually rename existing folders in .minecraft/XaeroWorldMap/Multiplayer_<server name>/
WorldMap 1.30.0 added cave data saving and rendering. There is a setting on by default in XaeroPlus that changes how the nether is rendered with cave mode off to be as it was previously.
- This removes the need to manually move existing world data files.

Configurations are in the Xaero WorldMap and Minimap settings GUI.

Toggleable settings support keybinds through the standard Minecraft Controls GUI.

Language Translations

PR's are welcomed for language translations.

[FEATURE] Dont show "(unset)" when there is no keybinding

if you dont have a keybinding for opening the settings for example, and then right click on the world map or hover over the gear icon with the cursor, it will show "(unset) Open Settings". imho it would look a lot nicer to simply show "Open Settings" without the ugly "(unset)" prefix.

Java crashes again when loading the world on macOS

This bug was already fixed by Xaero on update 1.33.1

But when using XaeroPlus the bug is reintroduced, I'm using the latest versions of XaeroPlus, Xaeros Minimap and Xaeros Worldmap.

When I disable XaeroPlus the game doesn't crash.

Always using the DIM0 directory

Appears to be always using the DIM0 directory, regardless of what "[XP] null OW Dim Dir" is actually set to.

Would be great to being able to set this number much smaller, for a better World Map experience.

snow above obsidian roof rendering

could you make it so snow is also effected by the transparent obsidian roof setting? as it is a big problem on 2b2t

Interdimensional teleportation support

Vanilla xaero can teleport when the cheat mode is turned on, but it does not support interdimensionality. For example, it is impossible for you to teleport from the overworld world to the nether.And this feature is really important for both vanilla and modded players because it saves a lot of time.

Hope to get this function in this addon, of course, if it is not easy to implement or it doesn't support other mods dimensions,just ignore this issue

Idea about Mod compatibility with Fabric Seasons

Using this mod and putting the cooldown down leads to alltime map refreshes.
My idea would be, add another 4 map types to the normal version.

If the mod with a season is detected, it switches to the season map from it. With this, you avoid countless map refreshes 😄

Use Localization

Currently all content of this mod is hard-coded, which is not very friendly to users of other languages. I hope that these content can be converted to use language files, so that users can submit translations easily.

[Feature request] Only Worldmap to be required

So currently XaeroPlus mod crashes when Minimap is missing, but I only want XP for Fast map region writes.

Waypoint Screen is in Fullscreen to wide on the left and right side of the screen

I hope you can a fix for this Problem make. The Screen of who all Waypoints was safe and create was in Fullscreen to wide on the left and right side of the Screen and we can the Searchbar etc. no see.

Does not work with BetterPVP as stated on modrinth

I am running Minecraft 1.20.1 with the latest stable Fabric release (0.14.22). The game window appears briefly, then crashes before even showing anything.

[1.20.1] [XWM 1.32.0 - XMM 23.6.1] Breaking Waypoint Manager

Your mod is making the waypoint manager treat everything as the overworld instead of making separate dimension waypoint sets automatically. This breaks the teleport functionality of the waypoints (OP/Creative) and can makes unnecessary clutter of waypoints by showing all of them all the time in world instead of just the ones for the current dimension.

The way it breaks the teleport is sending you to the specified coordinates in whatever dimension you are in instead of actually switching your dimension... which can put you inside blocks or even in the void depending on where you are.

[Suggestion] Make waystone waypoints permanent

Making them temporary seems a little weird. I would like the option to keep them all even if I log out.

Add a disclaimer on your mod pages

Add a disclaimer on your mod pages that your mod removes limitations in my mods that are there for a reason and will cause critical bugs and crashes. I am very tired of having to waste my time trying to figure out if every reported unreproducible bug is caused by your mod or not.

receiving a xaeros map crash about 8h into world , after i started new session

hi.. so i've ben having no problems playing this modpack (prominence ii classic forge) for like 8 hours now with a bunch of extra mods added... but after my last break, when i went to come back to the game, every time i started it up i would crash with this xaero's map null thing. https://pastebin.com/ypbz5ZXy this is the crashlog but I can't make sense of it.. do I delete the map files?

when i add this mod, i get that xaeromap crash. when i remove it, i can load in again. pufferfish skills is ok.

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.blay09.mods.waystones.api.KnownWaystonesEvent

After browsing the Waystones source code I found that
the commit 4c212741d9f3079d9dec660eec66baa4bc070082 causes the crash because the class KnownWaystonesEvent is removed from the code, so in new Waystones updates is not available and the XaeroPlus mod crashes when a new version of Waystones is installed.

NOTE: After some testing I managed to resolve the issue by updating some parts of the code, I was thinking on doing a PR but not sure...

Game randomly crashes with aarch64 assembly error

This is the bug I reported previously on Discord, just making a formal bug report now.

It's pretty random when this happens, but I keep getting this on my M1 Mac with Fabric/Quilt 1.20.1/1.20.2.

Workaround: Run Minecraft in Rosetta using an x86_64 Java installation (may incur a slight performance penalty).

The New Xaero`s Minimap and WorldMap Update is out. Please Update your mod for all your Versions from 1.12.2 and 1.20+

I hope the Update of your mod with the Compatible to the newest Versions comes in next time out.

Baritone Elytra Goal Waypoint Sync

Fantastic mod!
Using the new elytra baritone beta with XaeroPlus makes nether travel a breeze.

I don't know if this is intended or not, but when using "Baritone Elytra Here",
or setting goal while using elytra, the baritone goal is not synced as a temporary waypoint.

Fixing this would definitely be a nice feature for elytra travel.

1.20.1 Server crashes at startup when using newest XaeroPlus

Hello, as the title says the newest version of the mod seems to work perfectly when doing singleplayer but when its installed on a server the server crashes at start up.

game crashed bc of xaeros map and xaero plus

i dont know why this happened, but i does. i send the crash file and the log, if that helps. this happened about 4 times.

i play with a lot of mods, and i dont know if any of the mods caused the issue...

[Suggestion] Add extrapolate option on the map

When you play on 2b you might need to extrapolate lines if you want to follow a perfectly strait line.

Usage could be something like this:

Set on point on your map
Set another point on your map
The map automatically extrapolates the line out and places a new waypoint in line with the two set waypoints. The distance might be configurable or the extrapolated line might display on the map.

Lag when jumping

Whenever I jump up and down the game's framerate drops to 30-40 (previously 165+). Did some testing and other mods do seem to effect the number, but not by much (example, with 20 mods installed, FPS drops to 25, with 0 (other than fabric api and xaero's map mods) it drops to 60)

Forge 1.20 Support

Cross-build with Fabric should be possible but will need custom remapping.

Example of class name differences:

Fabric: AXaeroMinimap
Forge IXaeroMinimap

Other differences exist in 1 or 2 places where Fabric API is used. This means we can't compile Forge compatible classes against Fabric versions of Xaero mods as is.

Alternative solution: create a separate branch. But yarn mappings need a ForgeGradle adapter or we need to use another build plugin like Architectury or unimined. Or migrate mappings to official or parchment

waystone sync not working

i have been playing on a multiplayer server that has the xaero mods and the waystones mod, but the waystone sync option stopped working for everyone in the server after the server modpack was updated. the setting is enabled in the server config and everyone's player config, so i am not sure what the problem could be. so far i have tried toggling the config settings, restarting the server, and breaking and replacing waystones, but nothing has solved my issue. this may be a very small issue, but it is annoying to me and others so i would like some help if possible.

mimimap view error when joining a world

When joining a world, xaero's minimap view and zoom is broken. One click on the scaling slider in minimap settings fixes it.

Game crash when turn on Portal chunk highlight and go to other mod's portal based dimension

As Title describe, when turning on portal chunk highlight and go to other mod's dimension via their respective portal will causing crash.

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unknown dimension: ResourceKey[minecraft:dimension / aether:the_aether]

Mainly reason is the dimension doesn't recognize by mod

Integration with baritone without cheat client on 1.20.1 is not possible?

I didn't find any baritone interactions in the map.

Baritone right click options are broken when Prefer overworld waypoints is on

When the setting "Prefer overworld waypoints" is turned on and you try to use the baritone right click goal thingy in the nether you end up at 8x the coordss that you wanted to go to

Crash when entering other mods dimensions.

I tested several well-known dimension mods,such as The Aether,The Twilight Forest,The Aurorian.
Interestingly, The Aether only crashes when modifying the dim id(like from 4 to 13).
