Members-only Secrets

In this project we setup a simple blog to post secrets. You can only see the author of the revealed secret if you are signed in to your account. We used devise for user authentication functionalities, and Bootstrap for UI.

Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

Prerequisites

You need the following software programs in order to get a local copy:

• Ruby
• Rails

Instructions (Set Up)

To run this program, you need to have Ruby and Ruby on Rails installed in your computer.
Clone this repository in your computer

$  git clone https://github.com/chubaquelo/Ruby-Covid-Stats-Scraper

Access the cloned folder by typing:

$  cd members-only

Run Bundle install, to install the gems dependencies.

$  bundle install

Run npm install, to install dependencies.

$  npm install

Run the following command to migrate the database:

$  rails db:migrate

Run rails server from the cloned repository folder. Type:

$  rails server

Once the server is running, open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000

Usage

• You can view the project in your browser by running this command into your terminal rails server and then visiting localhost:3000 from your browser.
• You can sign up a new account on: http://localhost:3000/users/sign_up
