To use it offline, simply try to load the site in your browser as usual. If your browser supports the HTML5 Application Cache, it will work exactly as though you did have a connection, as everything is cached after your first visit.

License

Libraries under lib/ have their own license, as does the data in the data/ directory.

sutsis itself is released under the MIT license.

Hacking

sutsis uses appengine as a static file server – all the uptime and speed of a CDN for free, plus configurable routes and a local server! To start it up, download the app engine sdk, then just do

$ dev_appserver.py ./app.yaml

Scary Warning: App Cache

The app cache is great for users, reliably giving excellent speed, however for development it's less than ideal. For best results, do most development without the appcache – just remove the manifest declaration at the top of index. html – then add it back in before pushing your changes up.

Otherwise you'll likely see none of your changes reflected until you refresh a couple times (or more).

Make searching case-insensitive

simbi'o double entry

https://sutsis.appspot.com/search/integrate gives the {simbi'o} result twice.

add selma'o to the entries

example: entry for {ui} should mention that it's in selma'o "UI" and link to the selma'o:ui search.

search by specific parts of speech

Searching specifically by parts of speech, specifically rafsi, gismu, lujvo, fu'ivla, and selma'o should be added. I'm not sure if selma'o are in the database right now.

Example markup: "gismu:cidja" which only returns gismu.

experimental gismu rafsi

You cannot search by rafsi for experimental gismu. The data is there in the entry, it's just not structured right now.

Dependencies

I notices that sutsis now depends on polymer and jquery.
Could you please provide information about dependencies?

missing word

{taksi}, an experimental gismu, is missing (but in vlasisku). We should probably check for others.

inappropriate cmene entries

Five cmene are defined as specific people and should be removed from the database: {lindar}, {camgusmis}, {jycybyb}, {lojbab}, {noras}.

Provide clear messaging for unsupported browsers

Looks like Polymer (now deprecated actually) isn't gonna work on Firefox 14.0. It'd be nice to support this browser by either fixing polymer or removing "core-header-panel"

negation operator

example: "mal -gismu" to return only lujvo incorporating {mal} as a rafsi

stemming

sutsis currently lacks stemming. This is the major advantage that vlasisku has right now.

middle click is broken

Middle clicking a link in a definition does not open a new tab, instead loading the link in the current tab. Chrome, Windows.

support for user contributions to the database

There are specific features I want on top of this but a server component needs to be built first.

rafsi search result ordering

When searching for a specific rafsi, the corresponding gismu should but currently doesn't appear as the top result.

Example: https://sutsis.appspot.com/search/bal banli is last but should be first.
