Rust actors alternative to Erlang/OTP

meio

Async actor framework for Rust. The benefits:

• Safe and reliable
• Has lifecycle events: StartedBy, InterruptedBy, etc.

• Streams can be attached to actors as actions
• Support lite tasks with results

This framework strongly inspired by Erlang OTP and actix, but my goal was to make it more convenient and tight integrated with async capabilities of Rust.

meio's Issues

Full WASM support

meio has to be compatible with WASM runtime of browsers.

Hang up if terminate_group called

Calling terminate_group method during shutdown can hang up termination process.

Registry

Does the System actor in meio possess some accessible registry to lookup the address of another running actor in the system (without having to explicitly pass it to another actor)?
