Storage compression causes artifacting

What is the expected behavior?

When an image is uploaded to Rise Storage, it is converted/compressed but maintains the same quality.

What is actually happening

When an image is uploaded to Rise Storage, it's conversion/compression causes some artifacts.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue?

Attached to this defect is an original file. After uploading to Rise Storage you'll notice artifacts within the white fonts.

JPG's with transparency have rendering issues

What is the expected behavior?

Even if the JPG has transparency, it should render correctly.

What is the actual behavior?

There is a white tinge to the image when it is recalled from Storage due to rendering discrepancies.

What steps can be taken to replicate the problem?

Storage compression causes lower quality video

What is the expected behavior?

When a video is uploaded to Rise Storage, it should maintain the same quality as the original file.

What is actually happening?

When a video is uploaded to Rise Storage, the video quality isn't as good as the original file. Visual artifacts and stuttering can be seen in the file on Rise Storage.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue?

After uploading to Rise Storage you'll notice artifacts on converted video. Also the bitrate has gone from 6.5mbit to 2mbit.

Thumbnail does not update when file is overwritten.

How to replicate

1. Upload an image file to Rise Storage.
2. Copy link to that image file and open in new tab.
3. Upload a different image with same filename to same Rise Storage account.
4. Refresh tab viewing image file, image is updated.
5. Look at thumbnail, it is not updated.

Workaround
Clearing cache will show new thumbnail.

Blocked files aren't indicated in storage UI.

How to replicate
Get a file in Rise Storage blocked.

What happens
File gets blocked, but there is no notification of a block in the Rise Storage UI.
This file is blocked with no indication.
Here's the page that appears when you try to access it in browser.

What should happen
File should be blocked and have an thorough explanation of the cause and steps user can take to make sure their files do not become blocked in the future.

Images uploaded to Rise Storage not rotated correctly

Expected Behavior
Images uploaded to Rise Storage upload with the correct orientation every time. It should match the orientation that is shown on the device that the image is uploaded from.

Actual Behavior
Images uploaded to Rise Storage are appearing at the wrong orientation.
