Items Manager

• This is an application that allows users to create, update categories, subcategories within them, and items within the subcategories. It allows provides an API for the users to search for an item by its name.

How to run the application locally?

• First clone the repository and change the current working directory by running:

git clone https://github.com/rjsanghamitra/guestara-assignment.git
cd guestara-assignment

• Run the following command to install all the necessary npm packages based on the package-lock.json file to run the application:

npm i

• You can start the server by running:

node index.js

If you have nodemon installed, you can run the server by:

nodemon index.js
