MyNews is an application where the user is able to see and search news. It is possible to navigate between different categories and to set up notifications to alert when new articles are published depending on the defined criteria. This app has the requisite of Android 4.4 or above, which covers 95% of all Android users.
When the users enter the app, it will be shown the following:
The users have several ways to interact with the application. At the top left there is an icon to open a drawer, on the top right they have the option to search an article, set notification, find help and the about page. Beneath there are tabs with the different sections. Below the tabs there are the different articles.
There is a functionality to read a news by clicking on it:
If the clicks on the icon to open the Navigation Drawer the following menu is displayed:
On this menu the users have the different sections they can click and navigate to.
When the user clicks on the search icon the this page will be displayed:
The users can enter the search term, select a date interval and category.
When the user presses the date to be changed the following dialog is shown:
It is possible to enable the notification functionality. Notifications will alert the user
when new articles are published depending on the criteria he has predefined.
