Add context to quotes

Feature to add a description of the quote underneath, for example, if someone sends the following message:

user1: lol finally

You could reply to it with:

you: /quote -d Reaction to hearing that "My Little Pony XXX 7: a new enemy" will be released.

And the description will be added to the image.

Incorrect quote author in some cases

Sometimes, the bot will quote the user who forwarded the message, instead of the original author. This may be related to privacy settings of the original author.

Stops working after trying to /quote long message

I think it would be funny to leave a comment on the corner of a quote to give a context to it. This would be a great feature!

Fake quotes

The idea is to assign fake quotes to someone. For example: /quote "I am increasingly convinced that the earth is flat" -photo "https://example.com/photo.png" -name "Caio Coppolla".

This may be used to damage people's reputation, but it may be used to make innocent funny jokes. I'm interested on what people would think of this feature, given the downsides. Obviously we want it to be used responsible, but we can't trust on everyone's intentions.

To mitigate harmful misuse, we may include a visual clue to indicate that this is a fake quote.

Now that #7 is done, we don't need to write the profile photo to a file anymore. Pillow can read the photo using a buffer on memory.

Use some wrapper instead of spawning a shell process

Use some wrapper or library to renderize the images, like Pillow.
