When you're on a room, highlight the usernames on the messages.

Message deletion

Hey, awesome tool here,
at http://bullg.it, we're using it, but there is a strange behaviour, we're discussiing, and when we send a message, it gots directly deleted..

URL given by authorize command redirects if not logged in with browser

For some reason, when I went to https://developer.gitter.im/apps I was redirected to https://developer.gitter.im/docs/welcome, even though I was logged into Gitter. I hit "sign in" and now I can get to the first URL and my access token.

I guess I wasn't logged into the developer part of the site or something.

WhoAmI / me commands not returning anything

System info:

ProductName:    Mac OS X
ProductVersion: 10.10.3
BuildVersion:   14D136

Running me and whoami return nothing when I'm not logged in, when it seems they should return You are not logged in.

$ gitter-cli me 

$ 

Toggle Logging

It seems like there is no option to disable logging and that the log file is hardcoded as 'gitter-cli.log'. Can there be an option to either disable or change the location of this log file?

Error when trying to join a room

Well, when I try to join a room it gets some error and then prints out:

(node:79145) Warning: Accessing non-existent property 'padLevels' of module exports inside circular dependency
(Use `node --trace-warnings ...` to show where the warning was created)

Tried to run node --trace-warnings but just got me into a prompt. I don't know much about node so any suggestions would be helpful.

Update README

Update the README file to show an animation for the new GitterCLI layout for messages.

Create a message parser

Add a parser for the message in order to:

• Show emojis.
• Basic markdown parsing for bold, italic and underline text.

Windows support?

I noticed that there are some issues in Windows, the Blessed windows aren't working properly:

Also I can't send any messages from cli.

So I was wondering whether Windows support is planned? I would love to help.

Fails to start: "The token is not correct" or "Error: Cannot find module 'commander'"

When i try to start gitter-cli 0.8.5 from npm repo it says:

gitter-cli set-auth ******...******
The token is not correct.

When i try to start gitter-cli from github it says:

The token is not correct.

I sign-in and then issue:

gitter-cli authorize (pasting my access token)

But it ouputs that the token is not correct.

Maybe the API is changed, and/because it is no longer called log-in but sign-in on the "top right".

Code Block Formmatting(Markdown default) does not include newline char

The issue is located in marked.js which it does not insert newline character and cause the entire block to be oneline, is fixable by removing Renderer.prototype.code

though the padding is still incorrect, which result to be left of the screen

Add command to manage rooms

Add a rooms command to display your rooms and the number of unread messages.

Add links for issues numbers

When you're on a room, if an issue appears on the message text, display the url next to the issue number.
