RustDT generates workspace problem markers from the Cargo build, these can be viewed in the Problems view (as well as in a Markers view). You can click there in the view to go to the problems, so it seems of limited use to implement the above feature for the build log too.

Some nice shortcut keys might be nice though. Although, there's arleady Ctrl+. and Ctrl+, to navigate to the next and previous (respectively) annotation/problem in the current editor.

Personally I tend to avoid the "Problems" view in eclipse and the "Error" list in Visual Studio due to IDE noise (IntelliSense/Indexer warnings for example).

This doesn't seem to be a problem here, but people may still have been trained by the IDE to prefer the raw compiler output :)
