Error while creating JIRA ticket : Summary must be less than 255 characters

Hi,

I do see the bellow error. can you help me to modify the script.
The reason is summary has more than 255 charecters, so can you help to substr the Summary to take upto 254 characters only from the beginning.

A JIRA ticket failed to be created. {"errorMessages":[],"errors":{"summary":"Summary must be less than 255 characters."}}

Issue in integrating pagerduty to jira

Hi Ryan,

I have downloaded the script for the application and filled out the variables, however i am not able to successfully have pagerduty to open tickets in jira .I am hosting the appn ,not delpoying it to heraku , i have made sure that php is installed and configured right, I am not a fan of coding or scripting , . any help to get this working would be really appreciated.

intermittent integration issue between Pagerduty to JIRA

Hi ,

We are using pd2jira integration and its creating JIRA ticket for each PD incident, but sometimes,its unable to create JIRA ticket.

Need to find out the reason.

instead of jira user name and password, can we use jira api key?

in most cases, jira login is controlled by single sign-on tools like okta which has 2-factor authentication. so in above use case, this tool does not serve its purpose. can we have jira API key integration instead of username and password

Just to ask a dumb question here, this integration would assume that Pagerduty could access where-ever the p2djira php script was deployed, AND have access to https on where-ever my jira instance was too right?

Effectively meaning that my jira https was accessible outside?
