CCProjectGenerator

This tool is the official installer for cocos2d-objc and was introduced since v3.5. It is made for easy creating template projects. As of XCTemplates are unsupported, undocumented by Apple and are just a hell on the earth, I decided to stick to manual project generation, since it is more flexible for us and less painful.

It allows you to create pure Swift/Objective-C project with 3 targets (iOS, Mac and tvOS) + Chipmunk physics engine and SpriteBuilder files as options.

Some of project-generation code was extracted from SpriteBuilder repo.

Directory not created

Hello, I tried your Project Generator and had an issue with a specific filename:

  • "test" worked
  • "testCocos2D-v3.5" did not work

Keep on the good job ;)

Error for Mac target

I build an empty project for MAC generated by CCProjectGenerator and got this error:

The header search path for mac target is missing cocos directories

Error when compiling test project

Maybe you dont want us to report bugs related to cocos2d in this project but I just created a test project (objC, with chipmunks and Spritebuilder support) and got an error when compiling:

/Users/opierre/Desktop/test/Source/libs/cocos2d-ext/CCBReader/CCAnimationManager.m:233:37: Use of undeclared identifier 'CCLightNode'

I also wanted to ask you how you will keep this project generator synced with cocos2d-objC ? now you have cocos2d shipped inside your app, do you plan to download the last version from github maybe ?

Can't open project in Spritebuilder

Generated project cannot be opened in SpriteBuilder, the name of the project should be PROJECTNAME.spritebuilder and some files are missing

Maybe I'll merge your tool inside my SpriteBuilder fork ...

Deployment target for 10.10

You set the deployment target for 10.11 but everything seems to work for 10.10

You may want to allow 10.10 for your application ?
