joplin_day_review's Issues

Un-escaped apostrophe in description

Inside the plugin interface in the app, the plugin shows like this:

image

The apostrophe needs to be escaped somehow, or use a typographic glyph, โ€™

Clicking the icon does nothing

I realize you say that the plugin is experimental, but wanted to let you know that it's not working for me.

Joplin 2.6.2 (prod, win32)
Client ID: 55ce0b2fbc8e4c0c8c573a6923b41b59
Sync Version: 3
Profile Version: 41
Keychain Supported: Yes
Revision: 5a82f5d

Plugin version 1.0.0

I have inspected using the development tools and the link for the icon is just a #, which may be correct. But clicking on it does nothing.

These are the plugins I'm using

I'm happy to do more troubleshooting if you are interested.

This looks like a really handy plugin.

Automated daily review?

This is more of a suggestion than an issue, but it would be great if the daily review feature happened automatically at a certain time each day (maybe at a time that the user could choose). This would allow me to be able to quickly see what I've done each day without having to think about making a review note every day. It would be very helpful!

Fork and modifications

Hi @S73ph4n,

Are you interested in me upstreaming changes I made in a fork of your plugin?

It's here: https://github.com/zph/joplin-plugin-day-review

High level summary of changes:

  • Included a patch from other fork in order to fix link creation bug #2
  • Setup helpers for prior day review, monthly, prior monthly review, yearly and prior yearly reviews
  • Setup auto-generation of reviews so I don't need to remember to create them
  • Github Actions for auto-building the plugin when I tag a release
  • Miscellaneous helpers for making plugin development easier (earthfile & makefile)

Are those interesting to you w/ what you want the plugin to accomplish? If so, happy to contribute them back!

Cheers,

Does not do basic function: listing the notes edited or created

When I press the icon, it will create the review note. However, despite having created and edited many notes and to-dos that day, it shows none of them within the review. The review note is completely empty besides the headings. This happens maybe 80% of the time, roughly. A few times it has actually worked. I would absolutely love if this worked, though.

Generates review note in random places

I can never predict where the review note is going to be placed when I click the icon to create it. It is not within the last notebook I used, even. (I would love to be able to choose where the review goes automatically, rather than having to hunt for it once it's created. As it stands, it's never even in the same place, which is even more difficult.)
