NEW YEAR'S EVE IN THE DESERT - 08 DAYS

TRIP DESCRIPTION:

" ... Every year we offer special offers to celebrate the New Year in Sahara Desert of Merzouga. A small group of up to 12 people, departing from Marrakech towards the HIGHT ATLAS and the DUNES OF ERG-CHEBBI. Visiting the VILLAGES OF DRAA VALLEY, TODGHA and DADES VALLEY, the imposing and fascinating KASBAHS of the HIGHT ATLAS and MARRAKECH the red city. New Year's Eve is included in the travel program, on the night of the 31st we will host a beautiful tented camp in Merzouga where we will have the chance to celebrate this special day, but this time with a starry desert sky! ... "

TRIP DETAILS :

27th Decembre : Transfer from the Marrakech airport - 10 km.
Transfer from Marrakech Menara airport and accommodation in a Riad / hotel in Marrakech, with Bed & Breakfast B&B (with breakfast). We will be present on the day of your arrival at Menara Marrakech airport with a sign written your name / surname, to welcome you and transfer to the Riad / hotel booked in Marrakech. On the first day there is usually only a transfer from the Marrakesh airport to the Riad / hotel booked in the city. Overnight in Riad in Marrakech with Bed and breakfast BB treatment. (with breakfast).

28th Decembre : City tour - Marrakech - 00 km.
At 09:00 the local guide comes to the Riad / hotel for visiting the city, a day dedicated to the visit of the historical city Marrakech, of greater interests is the old part of the city with it's Medina, its main historical buildings, the Medersa Ali Ben Youssef, the El-Badi Palace, the covered souk where we can admire every form of craftsmanship, textiles, wrought iron, wool coloring, woodworking, leather, ceramics, silver. Visit to the famous Djemaa el-Fna Square , open-air stage where small entertainments and various curiosities take place at any time of the day, visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, the blue gardens of Majorelle, a small oasis of plants cultivated with extreme care, inside you can visit alsso the permanent museum of culture Berbera. Overnight in Riad in Marrakech with half board HB. (dinner + breakfast).

29th Decembre : Ouarzazate through Telouet and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou - 190 km.
After our breakfast departure towards OUARZAZATE. After leaving the romantic red city behind, we enter the mountains of the high pass TIZIN 'TICHKA (2260 M) which offers us breathtaking views! Between a hairpin bend and some rare village perched on the slopes, we meet a narrow deviation of about 20 km that leads us to the village of TELOUET located in a basin surrounded by the mountains of the High Atlas, lush with vegetation and delightful views. This site owes its fame to the ancient and splendid Kasbah, residence of the pasha el Glaoui. Near the village of Telouet we can also visiting the salt mines of this Kasbah. Continue our journey beyond the great Atlas chain and arrive at the village of Ait Ben Haddou, visit to the delightful KASBAH of Ait Ben Haddou climbing on the mountain, which owes its international fame to the numerous film sets housed within it. Place to stay in Riad in Ouarzazate with HB half board. (dinner + breakfast).

• 30th Decembre : Merzouga through the Dadés valley and the Todgha Gorges - 340 km.
  After our breakfast we continue our journey towards the valley of roses, visiting the town of roses M'Gouna, known for the rose festival at the end of May. To then reach the DADES valley and the canyons of the TODGHA gorges. We continue our journey towards Merzouga, visiting the ancient water supply system of the town of Jorf. Arrival in Merzouga at 5.00 pm, just before sunset we prepare to cross the dunes of the Erg-Chebbi, this time on a camel's back to watch the spectacle of the sunset, excursion lasting about 1h. Overnight stay in a tent in Merzouga with half board HB. (dinner + breakfast)

• 31th December : Merzouga - Excursione 4x4 - 80 km.
  Day reserved to admire the numerous desert villages, among these, the village of Khamlia known for the Gnawa music festival which takes place at the end of August ,, the village of Hasi-el-Bied, the M'fis mines, The natural lakes "Daia Tiffart" and "Jesmina", round tour of Erg-Chebbi dunes. Excursione lasting about 04 hours (Jeep excursion 4X4 - 04 people in the car with private driver). Today it is scheduled for New Year's Eve dinner with a traditional show. Overnight in Tent in Merzouga with half board HB treatment. (dinner + breakfast)

• 01st January : N'Kob through Rissani city - 240 km.
  At 10:00 am departure to DRAA valley through Rissani. Visit of the ancient imperial city in the Alaouite dynasty history, RISSANI: the MAUSOLEUM MOULAY CHERIF, the numerous Kasbahs that cartterize and give a particular charm to the town that had a glorious past as an important center of commercial exchanges, in particular in the archaeological site of SIJILMASSA, theater of markets where caravans from all over Africa used to arrive in ancient times. Today, lunch in a Rissani restaurant based on the Moroccan pizza with mint tea is included. Overnight in Kasbah at the village of N'Kob with half board HB. (dinner + breakfast)

• 02nd January : Marrakech through the valley of Ait Saouin at Ouarzazate - 310 km.
  After our breakfast, departure for OUARZAZATE via the Draà valley. Visiting the village of AGDEZ and to the pretty Kasbah OF TAMGHOULT, the VALLEY OF AIT SAOUIN, a beautiful magnetic valley, visit to the women's cooperative that makes products based on Argan oil. Overnight in Riad in Marrakech with half board HB. (dinner + breakfast)

03ed January : Transfer to Marrakech airport - 10 Km.
Transfer to the airport of Marrakech, with the hope of having offered you a trip full of emotions and unforgettable memories, we greet you and thank you for the trust you have given us and wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021. (End of service)
