basic-login's Issues

User.js already in repo

Step 2 of the readme indicates to generate a User model

But it already exists in the repo

» sails generate api user login logout signup
error: Something else already exists at ::/Users/shaneveeg/Documents/Practice/basic-login/api/models/User.js

Package.json not complete

I cloned the project, cd basic-login, npm install and sails lift wouldnt run because of missing packages (like connect and redis).

Publish this tutorial as sails package?

Hello,
I am coming from the Meteor.js community, and lookiing at Sails.js as a viable solution for a real-time framework. One thing that is really nice in the Meteor ecosystem is the Meteor accounts-base package, which provides a fully functional user accounts system with one command.

What would be involved to create a sailsjs-useraccounts package, so that new Sails developers could scaffold a functional authentication system with only a few lines?

Question about whether to use this or Passport.

We would like to use JSON Web Token to automatically log a user into our sails js app, when we email quotes to them.
Because of the SailsJS website, it seems like this feature can only be use if passport is taking care of the authenticating.

I don't find this answer everywhere so I was wandering if someone here might answer me.

Thank you
