SendIT Project

Project Overview

This project is a web application for currier services. It helps users deliver parcels to different destination SentIT provides courier quotes based on weight categories and the distance between the pickup location and the destination.

The Project features

On the minimum the project would have the following features:

• Users would be able to create an account and log in.
• Users would be able to create a parcels delivery order.
• Users would be able to cancel delivery order(s).
• Users would be able to see the details of a delivery order
• Users would be able to change the destination of a parcel delivery order.
• The Admin would be able to change the status and present location of a parcel delivery order.

The project is also looking in to include the features below:

• Display of a Google Map with markers showing the pickup location and the destination
• Also the application would display computed travel distance and jouney duration between the pickup location and the destination
• The users would be able to get instant email notification when Admin changes the status of their parcels.
• The users would get instant email notification when the Admin changes the present location of their arcels
