fedorator's Issues

Can't install requirements.txt on the latest Raspbian (Buster)

kivy needs a version bump to 1.10.0 (at least?) to fix the first issue where it fails to resolve dependencies which was fixed in 1.10.0

There may be other kivy issues that I've not hit yet.

2nd issue (which I failed to figure out in the time I had for it) is that cython fails to install for some reason that I can't even tell cuz it spits out spam longer than my console scrollback :D

Building wheel for Cython (setup.py) ... error

Persistent storage with marketing stuff load option

From software side would be great to have a persistent storage option - with marketing stuff load. I suggest to optionally as addon make it available to load our Fedora community user guide, introductory marketing flyers and other things (pictures, fedorator design files, etc) if necessary or the visitor would like to have them.

Photobooth camera support and monopod/tripod stand screwhole support option in case design

If you have a camera hole in the box design it would be amazing to add photobooth and twitter/social channel combo option. We had earlier photobooth code for the Pi camera, and code also what we used in earlier Fudcon, Flock times - implementing would be a nice addon to the Fedorator.

Also we gonna need monopod/tripod screw mounting hole to the box, so we can easily make group pictures with the Fedorator.

Shutdown button

Perhaps in the corner of the screen and requiring a double or triple tap?

We should have it because of potential SD card corruption.

releases.json does no include size

I am looking into update a fedorator. I am editing the releases.py file to set version and sub_variants. When I run the script it said KeyError: 'size'
I am looking at the json file, and there is no size information when you look at https://getfedora.org/releases.json
No sure where to look for updated metadata for https://github.com/Sanqui/fedorator/blob/master/src/data/metadata.json but also there is no size there.
I am guessing that the json structure changed.

Connect to Wi-Fi

We need the Fedorator to connect to the set-up Wi-Fi.

Leave this for the X server GUI?
