Fathom

Fathom is an easy-to-use JS/CoffeeScript game development library.

Checkout

First, clone our project!

git clone git://github.com/sarenji/fathom.git.

Install dependencies

You need our dependencies in order to run tests and compile CoffeeScript to JavaScript.

npm install

Fathom's only dependency is the type system, located in types.coffee.

Tests

Run all test suites via npm test or mocha.

QuickCheck style testing

QuickCheck generates random test cases and ensures that the results verify certain properties.

This should be possible now that we have typechecking.

This would make our code state of the baller quality.

1 pixel difference in overlapping objects

Let's keep this open for future devs.

Right now, let's define two objects.

{x:  0, y:  0, size: 20}
{x: 20, y: 20, size: 20}

Do these objects collide?

Yes:

• Simpler code (less thinking about +1 -1)
• Objects have a 1px bigger border on the right and bottom sides.

No:

• More complex code
• Objects are more strictly bound.
