SW-DLT ("Shortcuts Wrapper for -DL Tools") is an iOS shortcut that allows you to easily use, install and manage the popular and open source utilities yt-dlp and gallery-dl. This shortcut aims to be compatible with yt-dlp's & gallery-dl's collections of supported websites.

• Download video at custom qualities and framerates
• Downaload audio (audio only or extracted from video)
• Download playlists (video or audio choices available)
• Download images/clips/GIFs (from single items to massive albums)
• Support for both a-Shell and a-Shell Mini apps

Planned Features

NOTE: Compatibility for iOS 17+ and new features are paused indefinitely, until I get new test devices. Support will be offered for bug fixes. If you can, donations are welcome at the RoutineHub page.

• Add standard progress bar

• Enable title grabbing for video, audio and playlists

• Enable downloads to be resumed

• Add authentication prompts for gallery downloads

• Priority: enable use of native FFmpeg before a-Shell update

• Migrate to yt-dlp

• Migrate shortcut code to Jellycuts

• Simplify dependency management & refreshes

• Add internal update management (for easier updating)

• Enable persistent user settings (including default save locations)

• Allow file inputs with multiple URLs

• All software used (yt-dlp, gallery-dl, SW-DLT, a-Shell) is open source and free
• It is recommended to have the VLC app or another universal media player app to play unsupported media formats in iOS/iPadOS.
