cpuroller's Introduction

I am a seasoned software engineer with over 4 years of experience in developing, scaling, and maintaining high-performance software solutions. My expertise spans multiple languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift, and Golang. Throughout my career, I have consistently helped companies optimize and enhance the reliability of their mobile apps, websites, and other software products.

Some examples of my work include:

  • Currently as Software Engineer II at Cars24, I am an integral part of the Consumer India team, where I contribute to the development of key customer-facing applications and features. My role involves building Orbit using Server Driven UI, crafting complex animations that adhere to 60 FPS standards, and engineering scalable solutions that drive user engagement and satisfaction.
  • As Software Engineer at Spinny, I worked with the Inspection team to optimize and enhance the reliability of the Inspection app, along with implementing new features that came from product. My work led to improved performance of the app on slow-low end and old devices, and a crash-free user experience.
  • As Full-Stack Engineer at Trademarkia, I was leading a team of four and spearheaded the development of a community-centric social media platform with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability. A standout feature of this platform is a video recording component that functions flawlessly across all major web browsers, including Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

cpuroller's Issues

Can't build

It doesn't seem to work with the latest Go and Wails v2. Is there any fix?

Doc: Add development commands in readme's "For Developer" section

Issue

The current documentation in readme.md under the For Developer section helps the developers compile the app directly into an executable file which does not allow the developer to see changes in real-time as they change the codebase

Changes required

Update the For Developer section and move points 4 & 5 to a sub-section called Compile/Build/Package app and in place of them add wails serve, cd frontend, yarn install and yarn start commands

Make sure to fork the repo and work on the fork under a new branch. Once all your changes are complete, open a PR to the master branch of this repo

Doc: Replace the screenshot sample.png with a GIF

The documentation readme currently contains a screenshot of the application. It would be nice to have a GIF in place of that to showcase the working of the app.

Helpful steps

  1. First build the app using the Compile/Build/Package app section in the documentation and run the app
  2. Record a 10s video of the app running
  3. Now convert this video into a GIF ( you can use https://ezgif.com/video-to-gif )
  4. Delete the existing sample.png and add the new gif file
  5. Update readme.md to display the new gif

Make sure you fork this repo and work on the fork. Once all your changes are complete open a PR to the master branch of this repo. Happy hacking ๐Ÿš€
