Toll Free Verification with Google Sheets

Word of Caution - Please note that this integration is not officially supported by Twilio, use at your own risk

This is a simple integration using the Twilio Toll-Free Verification API

I would highly encourage you to check out the documentation and build your own process using the API but for those of you that have been submitting CSV files to Twilio support team you may find this a helpful tool in the meantime.

Update Script Properties

Navigate to Script Properties & add your Twilio Account_Sid & Auth_Token

First navigate to the extensions menu and open app script

Then navigate to project settings

Scroll to the bottom and replace the default values with your accound sid and auth token

Input Your Verification Data

Add your data to the spreadsheet! Please do not test with the sample data as the verifications will be sumitted but will later be rejected. If you do submit a verification know that you can delete the verification from within the console (the api does not yet currently support deletions).

Submit Your Verifications

When you are ready to submit your TFN Verifications - Click on Twilio Menu & Create Toll Free Verifications

First time you run the extension you will need to do the following:

Authorize the script:

Bypass the Google verification screen

Then you are done! In columns V you should see all successful Verification Sids in column W you should see any errors from unsuccessful submissions

Deleting Pending Verification

If you've made a mistake (e.g. submitting sample data) then you can delete a pending verification within the console

Some Gotchas

Be sure to check the data entry for number fields, e.g. Zip Code for 11111 should be inputted as ="11111" likewise business contact phone number for [phone] should be ="[phone]", check the sample data sheet as a reference
