infrastructure-as-code's Issues

Create a non-clustered MW + DB

Use one of the EC2 instances to create a MediaWiki service that connects to the DB.
No use of Kubernetes for this first pass.

Will help to troubleshoot issues and validate

  • docker installation
  • access between instances
  • internet access
  • db configuration
  • silent install and config of mediawiki and db.

EC2 VPCs and Subnets

Create an EC2 VPC and Subnets for MediaWiki and DB.
Create a topology that allows DB Subnet to be private and MediaWiki to be public.

Check if modules can be used to initialize backend

Need to understand how modules can be used here. I want to use a module to create the AzureRM Backend (Storage Account) and then use a generated token automatically to init the backend.

Need to check whether this is possible.

EC2 Instances

  • Create 2 t2.small instances for mediawiki
  • Create 1 t2.medium instance for DB
