Support CI tools and options

Add functions to manage which CI tools (e.g., travis, cppcheck, etc.) are used in a project and add commands to enable or disable them

Doxygen parser

Write parser for doxygen files in a way similar to the cmake parser, enabling configuration values to be read and modified as well

Support multiple license templates

Add interface to query and update the current (project-wide) license.

Dependency management

Manage dependencies between sub-projects, e.g., enable to add a library dependency to an executable automatically. Add a command to the CLI to control these dependencies.

Complete interface to modify cmake file

Add missing features to modify cmake files:

• Add or remove comments
• Modify comments
• Add or remove whitespace

Support documentation projects

Support certain types of documentation projects:

• Doxygen documentation
• Latex manual

Support modules or subdirectories

Create an abstraction for sub-directories in general, allowing sub-projects to reside in any directory and managing the sub-directories in the main CMakeLists.txt. For example, sub-directories could be used like this:

• cm generate module examples
• cm generate exe examples/myexample

Complete interface to modify commands in a cmake file

Add missing features to manipulate cmake commands:

• Adding arguments to commands
• Removing arguments from commands
• Modifying the command name

Support test projects

Add templates for test-projects, e.g., based on gtest/gmock

Support deploy projects

Add templates for deployment projects based on CPack

Modernize cmake

A lot of functionality we implemented in cmake-init has been added directly to cmake since 3.0. Modernize the templates to use these new functions and remove our own implementation if they are no longer necessary.
