No longer able to send torrent to server with context menu.

This site used to require that I use the context menu to send to deluge, despite any settings of left-click handling, but now I'm getting an error when I do it that way.

It says to check the console for the error message, but it wasn't something I was able to figure out without direction. I assume posting the site here is not recommended. If you could advise on how to provide a log file, I would be happy to do so.

Deluge Siphon CSS spilling over into unrelated page CSS and breaking

When I use Sonarr the modal CSS is being overwritten by injected stylesheets within Deluge Siphon, I think the latest changes to the CSS where the parent selector was removed is causing undesirable effects.

Either way, I had to disable Deluge Siphon until this is resolved.

Feature request: Specify download location

It'd be really cool to be able to manually specify where torrents end up after downloading.

I understand that Siphon checks 'Download to' and 'Move completed to' fields, but I often manually specify sub directories for the latter field.

Site css may override add-to-window css

The add-to-window looks bad because some css styles are overwritten by the site's css:

allow status and control of torrents

Investigate fasibility of viewing status and stopping/starting downloading torrents from within extension.

This is actually (implementation-wise) similar to the request to add labels -- it'll have to get done using the newer Rich Notifications API in Chrome.

Deluge server url

Dear all,
I don't get access to my Deluge daemon with deluge-siphon while access from Deluge on Windows works right away.
What to enter as deluger server url?
Default is: "http://localhost/user/deluge"
"http://192.168.0.121:58846/deluge" does not work (deluge is user name)

Every hint is welcome. Thanks in advance

My apologies if this is not the correct forum / way to communicate with you about DelugeSiphon. First, a huge THANK YOU for this wonderful tool. On every site except IPTorrents.com, it saves me lots of time keystrokes. I noticed a donate button, but I'm happy to send you the price of a six pack to show my thanks.

As for IPTorrents, something is FUBAR. I hope that you're a member there. If not, perhaps I can get you an invite. Anyway, no matter what link I click on or right-click on, DS doesn't like the link. I always get a message, "Are you sure that this is a torrent file?" However, if I right-click on the same link and choose "save as" it always downloads the .torrent file to my PC (which I then upload to my seedbox). For example, one link that I might download today is http://www.iptorrents.com/download.php/794840/Star.Trek.Megapack.TheZerg%20%281%29.torrent. If I right-click and "save as" I get a file named "Star.Trek.Megapack.TheZerg (1).torrent"

How can I help you work-around this? I tried asking about this the Deluge Forums, but nobody responded. I tried asking in the forum at IPTorrents, but got no takers there either.

Add torrent with Label

Good day Sir, sorry for creating an "issue", I only wanted to contact you directly to request the ability to set the Label of torrent before sending to Deluge. This is similar functionality offered by other popular torrent client chrome extensions such as the utorrent one. Thank you for your work on this so far! Many people appreciate it, and so do I!

No longer working on Gazelle-based trackers

Thanks for your work on this plugin, it's really handy.

However, it no longer seems to work with Gazelle-based trackers. The DL link is in the following format:

but I receive a notification saying that it is "not a valid torrent"...

Connection Info Not Displaying

I am having an issue where deluge siphon is not showing the connection options, so I cannot actually configure it to see my deluge install. See the pic below:

Associate .torrent files with Deluge Siphon

Is there any way to associate .torrent files to automatically handle them via Deluge Siphon?
(eg. click on file on the disk = opens chrome and sends file to Deluge Queue)

i have a problem, just installed it (chrome 64bit mac).
i have the context menu right click enabled, but whenever i right click on a torrent link (standard or magnet) i see no option to send it to my deluge server.

so what's the problem?

I'm a developer, I was working when I noticed a lot of "unknown" console logs, WTF!?.
It was the siphon.... Can you please remove the console logs while not in debug mode? Or add some kind of blacklist to prevent siphon to inject the script in some domains...

Failing on certain magnet links

I do not know if this has to do with the recent 0.7.0 release of this chrome extension, but I have suddenly started to see silent failures when adding torrents using a magnet link. Deluge siphon will show a notification but the torrent will never show up in my deluge client list. Has anyone else seen this issue?

No Connection Info/Not Saving

Hey, I've used Siphon before, but unlucky me, I stopped using it for a while and just tried it again today.

Looks like the Options page is bugging out. I can see the events on the checkboxes are working (aka, its calling "save_options()", reset is calling "clear_options()"). Going deeper, I could not actually figure out why the options are not saving.

The text boxes under "Connection Info" are not being populated.

Someone on the Chrome Extension comments edited his comment about an hour ago saying he was getting a weird error that you got resolved before.

Let me know if there is any way I can give you more information about the issue! Sorry if you are already aware/working on this. Thanks.

Add Support to options for multiple servers

I have multiple seedboxes. I would like the option to perhaps add multiple selection and the option to download locally or to a folder on the seedbox.

Connection manager set to Pi Host can't add torrent.

Hello,

I can't right click and send to deluge if connect to the Pi host. But if I drag the torrent into the WebUI, the window client opens and downloads just fine.

If I switch the connection host to the local IP, 127.0.0.1, then right clicking on a torrent is sent to the deluge web just fine.

Start Daemon Error

I am trying to use this extension but get an error saying the deluge server responded with error "startdaemon" anytime I try to add a torrent. I also see this error when I enable the extension after it's been disabled.

I am using the same URL that I successfully use to access the web front end on a remote Linux box. I am using the form "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx to specify IP address and port.

After right-clicking to "add" the torrent, I see a notification that says "adding torrent..." but this is followed by the error notification.

I have tried adding both magnet links and torrent file links with the same result.

I have searched the archive of errors and couldn't find anything similar.

Performance drags after using a couple times

Using this extension, it ends up bringing my chrome browser to a crawl after adding 4-5 torrents... lags input to the browser, lags page loads, etc...

I know its this extension because as soon as i disable it everything goes back to normal... then when i re-enable it, everything is fine for the next few added torrents and then begins to slow everything down again... rinse, repeat

I have no idea how to debug an extension, so just let me know what you need to help you figure out more.

magnet link broken for deluge 2.0.0dev

it used to work with exactly same version of deluge but older delugesiphon, but now after upgraded delugesiphon it breaks.

popup says "Your verison of deluge [2.0.0dev730] does not support magnet links. Consider upgrading"

Stops sending torrents after first one

Lately I have not been able to use the extension due to a strange bug. After reloading the extension, or opening chrome, I am able to send one torrent to deluge. The others come with a "requesting torrent" notification but do not succeed in adding it to the server.
I have not been able to gather much information from the debugging to the console.

"Send to Deluge" fails silently in Chrome 35

Starting in Chrome 35, the "Send to Deluge" context menu option fails silently.

Steps:

• Use Chrome 35 (35.0.1916.47 beta) and DelugeSiphon 0.66
• Right click on a hyperlink to a .torrent or magnet link
• Click "Send to Deluge"

Expected:

• Expected notification to display and for torrent to be added to Deluge

Actual:

• No notification is displayed
• Torrent is not added to Deluge

This issue appears to be caused by the use of the legacy webkitNotifications API. (line 367 and 374 in the notify() method in controller_actions.js file.

Doesn't work with some "torrent" links.

I occasionally use a site that does not link to the torrent directly, but rather: http://site.org/download.php?id=xxx which then directly downloads the file. Is there anyway the addon could support that?

Add torrent pop-up not showing on thepiratebay.org

Added torrents through the magnet link on most websites will pop-up the add torrent box where you confirm the settings and click add. However, on thepiratebay, doing so will darken the background of the webpage but keep the middle section lit up without the pop-up showing. Presumably, this is because the middle section of thepiratebay is showing on top of the pop-up box, which explains why it isn't darkened like the rest of the page.

Web UI link missing

There used to be a Web UI link when I clicked on the delugesiphon icon. With the latest update that is gone. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if the link was intentionally removed, but I miss it.

Other than that everything works great. Keep up the good work and thanks!

Constant Connection Error Popup

I'm on a network outside of the location of my server. The plugin is constantly popping up connection error messages. These mesages are the Chrome Notification popups in the lower right corner. This is new behavior.

Unsetting "move completed to" does not override server default

Everything worked perfectly at first.
Now it errors that the torrent was already added and it adds to the default directory regardless where I tell it. Huge pain since by the time I get back to deluge I have to move storage.
Windows 10 64bit
edit: It appears to be adding to the directory I choose, but then moving to the default "Move completed to" directory I have set in deluge. Even though I unselect this option in the delugesiphon popup.

Downloads defaulting to ~/Downloads

When I add torrents with deluge siphon they default to downloading to ~/Downloads even though my settings are set to download to a different location. I'm running the latest deluge daemon and web ui and have tried re-installing Raspbian and deluge from fresh.

Any ideas?

When delugesiphon is active some links are not displayed

I'm not sure if this is only our company webpage or is there more, but when I load this page:

with delugesiphon active there is an ad displayed at the center of the page but there is no "close" button that should be displayed in top right of the ad by this code:

When I do the inspection I can see this:

If I disable delugesiphon everything goes back to normal - close link is displayed correctly.

Always starts with default prefs

Everytime i start using siphon, it starts with default prefs, it tries to connect to localhost instead than try to connect to the host i wrote in prefs. Than i have to revert to default prefs and rewrite my own.

Should it not only process magnet: and .torrent links?

Torrent download timeout (5000ms) is too short in some cases

Today I have been getting COMMS ERROR messages from DelugeSiphon. This happens during the "Download Torrent" step, which is the third /json query that DelugeSiphon makes to deluge-web.

As it turns out, my Comcast connection is currently buggy because Comcast's primary DNS server is down. Thus, deluge-web takes about 5.5 seconds to get a successful DNS result from the secondary DNS server in order to perform the "Download Torrent" step. The .torrent file download is nearly instantaneous after that, but DelugeSiphon has already timed out waiting for the /json download method to finish.

Bumping the xmlHttpTimeout duration in ajax() within utils.js to 10000ms fixed my problem. The deluge-web process took its normal 5.5 seconds, and DelugeSiphon completed the "Add Torrent" step afterward, which is obviously necessary to complete the process.

The takeaway is that the 5000ms timeout was too short for my situation. I had to lengthen it manually within the extension code. Maybe this could be a configuration parameter, or just be lengthened in general?

Secondary suggestion: the failure message that resulted from this issue was pretty cryptic, so it took me a while to track down what was causing it. I would suggest adding, related to xmlHttpTimeout in utils.js, a notification that specifically tells the user that deluge-web took too long to respond to a request.

For the "Download" button on this site, only the right-click menu works, left-clicking just downloads the file normally (I have left-click option check in deluge-siphone settings of course).

Any ideas?

Disabling control + right click macro does not remove the Deluge menu item

Even after unchecking the "Enable control + right click macro" option, right clicking a link still gives me the "Send to deluge" menu item.

I would assume it would be disabled? If that is not what is meant to happen; why not?

Is there another way to remove this menu item without giving up on left click behaviour?

Failing to add since the past couple of updates.

Not adding with deluge 1.3.14

Seems like not adding with deluge 1.3.14 like a lot of other chrome extension.

Restart of deluged and web do nothing.
Trying to add : https://www.t411.al/torrents/acronis-support-de-d-marrage-complet returns ok in the plugin but add nothing in deluge.

tvtorrents compatibility

tvtorrents uses a javascript call to add their torrents, making it difficult to automatically trap links from them. there should be a way though.

Chrome extension always shows DS start page on startup

I don't know what version this started with but Deluge Siphon start page shows up in a tab everytime I start or restart Chrome. Occurs on Linux and Windows.

WebUI Login need manual input

I have input the password in option, but every time I have to login once on each browser start up.

I see there are * in the option password field, but I am not sure if there should be an OK/Confirm input field.

Anyway, it works when I input the password manually. Just want to report this bug

First magnet link is added, additional ones are not

The first attempt to add a a magnet link in a 'session' pops up with connecting to server and then a conformation that it's been added. Any additional requests pop up with a 'requesting torrent' notification and then nothing else.
