duotp-android's Issues

Unable to add account to Authy

Setup fails for me, using Brave browser and Authy as my authenticator app. I get this error from Authy:

invalid format
token could not be read

Duo Mobile version number

Apparently, the code(s) generated by an OTP app also carry a version number with them. I am using andOTP, and get the following error message from the login page:

Duo Mobile None is not allowed by your administrator. Please update to Duo Mobile 3.8 or above and try again.

I wonder if this is something that can be addressed in the future versions of DuOTP. Thank you!

Unable to register OTP

Using the app combined with the Google Authenticator just results in an error by DuOTP DuOTP: There was an error.
Steps to reproduce:

  • LineageOS 19 (Android 12), no google services
  • In Duo device manager, add a device using the tablet option
  • Open Duo Mobile to connect to the account shows Duo Mobile and DuOTP as possible apps
  • Selecting DuOTP results in the previously mentioned error

Any help on this?

Error message: an error occurred, no other context

Hi there!

I'm trying to get this to work on my new de-googled phone (and I tried it on my old googled one too). I installed the apk from Fdroid, got the link from my employer, and when I tried to open the link, it allowed me to select duotp instead of duo mobile. I selected DuOTP, but it failed with "an error occurred".

For reference, I tried with Aegis first, then Google Authenticator, but no dice on either one. If you wouldn't mind, could you provide some guidance here? I'd really love to get this working :)
