extras's Issues

Question about dart-dev.json location

I have just pulled dart-dev.json in scoop repository.
I found out that it was in scoop-extras.

In my opinion, its location should be in scoop.
What about your opinion ?

add nirsoft freeware (?)

http://www.nirsoft.net/

There's a ton of stuff. I've only used some of them and just moderately, but when I did need them, I found them very useful.

Questions: What would they think of this sort of distribution channel? Do we want a large bundle sysinternals-style, some selected ones? All of them but as separate requests?

add lighttable

I don't use it myself for any coding, but it's been opensourced, it's popular and it seems to work.

Keep up the great work! ๐Ÿ‘

extract_dir VSCode-win32-ia32 does not exist for vscode 1.14

I update to vscode 1.14 and failed. Then I run "7z l" to check the downloaded file and find VSCode-win32-ia32 does not exist for vscode 1.14.
Then I remove the line '"extract_dir": "VSCode-win32-ia32",' of vscode.json and I succeed to install it.

Would you please update vscode.json.

Can't shim '\resources\cli\atom.cmd': File doesn't exist.

I just updated atom using

Linking ~\scoop\apps\atom\current => ~\scoop\apps\atom\1.17.0

Can't shim '\resources\cli\atom.cmd': File doesn't exist.

I think it is related #413 issue. Because extract_dir is not set. Atom package unarchives into a Atom folder inside 1.17.0 folder.

1.16.0 folder has the correct contents. But 1.17.0 folder only has a single folder Atom which in turn has the actual content.

[Request] Add Qt5

This is a shameless bump for qt5 support, which is a very popular cross-platform C++ development framework (It's what VirtualBox is developed in).

As far as I know, it should care about visualc because it's VS version-dependent.

Why is there no google-chrome?

Is there a reason you can install Firefox via Scoop but not Chrome? If not, I think it'd be pretty cool to have all the major 3rd party browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera (maybe Safari)) or even just Chrome installable. This would be sweet for us web developers used to unix.

One-get/Chocolatey versions vs scoop

Hi,

am I correct in assuming that there's no automated import from Chocolatey/OneGet to scoop?

Would making something like that make sense?

For example, I've just found scoop, and added the "extra" bucket -- and installed OneGet (via scoop) -- and I find:

~ $ scoop search vlc
extras bucket:
  vlc (2.2.0)
~ $ Find-Package -Name vlc

Name Version Status ProviderName Source Summary
---- ------- ------ ------------ ------ -------
vlc 2.2.1 Available Chocolatey chocolatey VLC Media Player

Now, I see that I could (should) fork this repo, and update https://github.com/lukesampson/scoop-extras/blob/master/vlc.json to point to http://get.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.1/ -- but seeing as the meta-data is already present(?) for OneGet would it make sense to wrap that from scoop?

Ideally, one would like upstream (like videolan in this case) to just have to publish one set of meta-data to one index in order for it to be picked up by package managers (as long as there's no need for custom build/installers).

Thank you for scoop btw -- first time in a looong time I've enjoyed playing a bit with the command line on windows.

Can't shim 'Rambox.exe': File doesn't exist.

I think the reason is ~\scoop\apps\rambox\0.5.3 folder has a single folder win-unpacked which in turn contains Rambox.exe and other stuff.

Any suggestion on how I fix this issue.

Rust and cargo manifests need updating

There are some issues with the rust-nightly and cargo-nightly manifests. Because they generate shim exes, the cargo build tool has trouble shelling out to the rustc compiler (see rust-lang/cargo#1661). Also, cargo is no longer a separate component, it is generally packaged together with rust so having a separate manifest for it is confusing.

I'll be submitting a PR for this momentarily. It's fixed the issue in my environment, but I'll loop in the original submitters of the {rust,cargo}-nightly manifest so they can take a look too.

Scoop-Extras should (and my PR will):

  1. Remove the cargo-nightly manifest, since rustc and cargo are generally installed together from a single MSI
  2. Change from using shims to env_add_path because otherwise rust-lang/cargo#1661 gets in the way. I'd still like to track down why the shim isn't working, since I prefer the shim mechanism, but for now this will fix the issue.

Autoupdating of Eclipse packages

Version 4.7.0 (Oxygen) of Eclipse was released yesterday, hence versions.txt was updated. Manually running auto-pr and/or checkver updates the manifests correctly.

Looking at the web server log files, I can see requests from what I presume is the auto-pr running in @r15ch13 Docker container, but the manifests are not pushed to this repo.

Also, the sha512 file is requested, but then the following request is for the zip file (I guess for calculating checksums?)

invalid hash for keepass 2.36

Hi there,

Keepass was updated just a few hours ago for 2.36 with hash 03f5fd34e688ef626c3249c606ca32a6d5ba6436c73ab292009e72126a7ffe68.

Maybe Keepass just changed their binary, but their website (http://keepass.info/integrity.html#v2) now shows 5fb46a14e19b47e354e3e7d36c9a85965d62a2d181ac746cff33053a521a77b1 as the valid one.

Git-flow setup: Getopt dependency

the git-flow setup is missing a dependency, just typing git flow [command] gives the message flags:FATAL unable to determine getopt version. Now I know technically you can go install Cygwin and util-linux-ng, and get getopt that way, but with how close you are to a working workaround for Windows to NOT have to rely on cygwin and actually have options, I think its worth mentioning.
