Automate the proccess of brute forcing the My Eyes Only pin code on Snapchat


This script only works for rooted Android devices!

Dependencies

• adb
• hashcat

This script was tested on an Android device running Android 10 with LinageOS with Snapchat v11.71.1.39

How it works (Demo on YouTube)

Snapchat saves the 4 digit My Eyes Only (MEO) pincode encrypted using bcrypt in /data/data/com.snapchat.android/databases/memories.db.

Once you've gotten the hash and saved it into a file (eg.meohash.txt), you can use hashcat to brute force it using the following command:

hashcat --attack-method 3200 --attack-mode 3 meohash.txt "?d?d?d?d"

I'm quite interested in your script here and would like to know which operating system did you use during your demo video, as in which Linux distro was it.. Id also like to know whether there's a way to make this work with windows too..

im a big fan of your work especially sherlock I'm just wondering if there is anyway to complete this brute forcing WITHOUT root as id love to test this but my device is not rootable

Could not find adb error

i copied all of the files from the platform-tools folder with adb in it into the folder with meobrute.sh, but it still says could not find adb when i try to run it

Has Snapchat updated the method (not a local check anymore) or is for some other reason?
