brevity-lang's Issues

Missing versus Empty

Null, nil, none, etc. in many programming languages represent at least two conflated concepts: missing values and empty values. We should make a distinction between values that are nil because they are known to be nil/unknown, or nil because they are not yet known.

Brackets

We only have 4 sets of paired symbols on the keyboard () [] {} <>. Some others might serve as paired symbols, like /\ and :;, but are not commonly used as such. The easiest to type are [] because they don't require the shift key on the standard QWERTY keyboard layout. Therefore, we should emphasize the use of [] over the other symbol pairs.
