python-zillow's Issues

API Call Return Info Limitations?

What limitations are there on the return info for an API call?

More specifically, is it possible to obtain this data (Home Value/Appreciation):

"Zillow did not return a valid response"

Hi there, I'm new to python and zillow, so bear with me

I'm getting Zillow did not return a valid response for some responses that seem to be valid.

Digging into the code, I'm finding that commenting out self.local_realestate.set_data(source_data['localRealEstate']) from place.py seems to make these responses valid.

I'm thinking it's a bug, but I'm not sure, and I don't know what "localRealEstate" means either.

Multiple results not handled

Zillow sometimes returns more than one result for a request (ex: when the apartment number is missing for a multi-unit address). Need to handle the multiple results.

zillow_key.conf

Im trying to use your python lib,
but unfortunately i struggle to find zillow_key.conf.
should i create it? if yes, then where?
should it being generated automatically after lib installation?

Thanks in advanced!

Email link broken

Hi, I sent an email asking a question regarding obtaining multiple listings at once. The email link did not work.

Thank you, and this was the question I intended to send.

My question is is there a way to gather many listings at once using this query “GetSearchResults” using some tool other than the physical address or zip_id to get a number of listings at once?

KeyError: 'response'

    principal_data = xmltodict_data.get('Comps:comps')['response']['properties']['principal']
KeyError: 'response'

Missing API to search based on criteria

Hi,
I am able to run the basic examples, but did not see API to perform the general search function, like search properties based on zip code, price range, etc. Pls let me know if we have this method implemented or not.
Thanks,
Alex
