Add info on how calculations are performed

Some users will naturally be skeptical of the calculations unless we provide info on how they are done, showing that the data is pulled directly from the city budget

Add Council Members who voted on the budget

In addition to seeing how your tax dollars were spent, it would be nice to see which Council Members voted yes or no on the budget to know who signed off on spending your money this way.

Ideas:

• Table below main calculator table
• Filterable by CM name and district
• Some way to calculate which CM is yours based on address, in case you don't know? Or maybe just link out to city website that already does that

Add info icons to expense categories

Hovering over info icons will allow users to see descriptions of the categories and what's included in each

Add budgets from past years

Would be nice to be able to toggle between budgets from past years and see how your tax dollars were spent, instead of just the current year

Add Advanced mode

Ideas:

• Include other sources of revenue, including sales tax
• Add optional field for putting in your own sales tax paid, using a calculation for the average New Yorker as a placeholder
• Show Capital Budget?

Consider how to include funded projects

Not sure yet if the city budget gives this level of detail, but seeing examples of projects that were funded with these tax dollars would be neat
