Parsing the RSS feed Uses gofeed to parse ePrint's Atom Feed.

Running your own instance. Since this is a simple Go app, it should be easy to run your own instance. I am using fly which makes it super easy. Other one-click container services like aws copilot should also be super easy (you might need to write a standard Go Dockerfile.)

Use the ePrint Atom Feed So We Get Dates

It looks like the slack RSS integration uses date (which the eprint RSS feed doesn’t have) rather then the uuid (which the eprint RSS feed does have) to decide if the entry is new.

My current thinking is to update just the backend to rely on the Atom feed but continue to produce an RSS feed on the front-end. This might ensure that this change does not break existing users.
