Style doesn't work with dark themes

Even with the solution listed in README.md, the stylesheet just doesn't want to work with any dark theme, also with visible artifacting on default dark theme.

Pinned tabs are too wide

Pinned tabs should be narrow enough to only display the icon. They should not display any text.
Additionally, there is a separator in front of the first unpinned tab, which I think is unnecessary, since the theme has a gap between the pinned and unpinned tabs anyway.

In this example, the first two tabs are pinned:

We can see that the first tab's icon is much wider than the second one, and unlike the second one, its icon is centered:
