Note: I put this together for myself for dealing with Python, it's essentially a modification of the default template. You may see some colours from the old template appear in cases I haven't encountered yet. Please raise an issue and I'll take a look.

Prerequisites

• JupyterLab (v1, v2, or v3)

Installation

jupyter labextension install @shahinrostami/theme-purple-please

Development

For a development install (requires npm version 4 or later), do the following in the repository directory:

npm install
jupyter labextension link .

To rebuild the package and the JupyterLab app:

npm run build
jupyter lab build

Inspired by the shades-of-purple theme for VSCode.

theme-purple-please's Issues

only changed in the notebook, not change in the terminal

I installed and it only chage in the jupyter lab, the terminal in jupyter lab doesn't change

No white box around axis in Matplotlib

Compare these two plots:

#1 is from this theme

#2 is from the out of the box dark mode in Jupyter Lab

The plot in #1 does not have a white box around the axis for a graph using matplotlib.

Jupyter lab 3?

I absolutely LOVE this theme, but it seems to no longer work with JL3. Any plans to get it updated?
